Packing

Here are a list of essential items that you will need to pack:

• $500 in Australian Currency
• Adaptors (for electrical appliances)
• Basic Toiletries (toothbrush, toothpaste, hair styling products, make up)
• Beanie
• Bedding
• Chargers (for laptop, mobile etc.)
• Dress clothes (skirts, dress shirt, trousers, dress etc.)
• Gym/exercise clothes
• Hair appliances
• Hat
• Headphones/earphones
• Insect repellent
• Jeans
• Laptop
• Mobile phone
• Moisturiser/lotion/sunscreen
• Personal items such as jewellery, books, photos, etc.
• Power Bank
• Scarf
• Shoes
• Shorts
• SIM card
• Snacks (you may not find something to eat at your accommodation)
• Socks
• Spare glasses and contact lenses
• Sunglasses
• Sweater/jumper/jackets
• Swimwear
• Thongs (Flip Flops)
• Towel
• Travel card ($2000)
• T-shirt/singlets
• Umbrella
• Water bottle

Also ensure that you have the following documents on you:

• Western Sydney University, Sydney City Campus, Offer Letter
• Confirmation of Enrolment
• Insurance policy
• Passport with visa
• Receipts of related payments e.g. health cover, bank statements
• Academic transcripts (either original or certified)
• English translations of medical records and/or prescriptions
• Personal identification, including English translation e.g. driver’s licence.

Ensure that you keep your documents in your carry-on or hand baggage, and that you have made a copy of your original documents. Leave the copies with the families, just in case you lose your originals.
