Our Student Support Services team can help you adjust to life in Australia. Book an appointment with a Student Learning Advisor or a Student Counsellor between 8:30am-5:30pm on any weekday about any enquiries you have with your study, welfare or anything personal related to your studies.

We also offer one-on-one learning and study assistance. For assistance, you can book an appointment with a Student Learning Advisor (language enhancement).

If you are under the age of 18, we can help support you with your studies. We will provide more information during orientation.

You will also need to have a valid Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) during your studies. This is the insurance that will cover the medical and hospital care costs that you may need while in Australia. You can obtain quotes from different OSHC providers to see which one works best for you. For emergency and health services, please call ‘000’ (Ambulance, Fire, Police).

Heading to the beach is a popular pastime. Every public holiday, if the sun is out, then you can expect the beaches to be very busy. However, even though it seems like a great place to relax and have fun, it can also be dangerous. There is a risk of drowning, and about 10 people on average are rescued each day. You should always swim between the red and yellow flags, and do not swim if the beach is unpatrolled or if you are alone. If you get into trouble, don’t panic, just float and wave, and wait to be rescued. The Sydney City Campus offers free beach safety skills and resources from Surf Lifesaving NSW.
