Health

You must have health insurance when you are studying in Australia, and this is a required part of your student visa. You must have Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) for the entirety of your studies, and you must have it before you depart your home country. This is to ensure that you are covered as soon as you arrive. Your OSHC policy must come from a registered health insurance company.

The OSHC will cover medical and hospital costs, along with prescription drugs and emergency ambulance transport which you may need while you study in Australia.

Some scholarship holders may be eligible for OSHC free of charge, please contact our Western Sydney University, Sydney City Campus, Student Administration team to see if you are eligible.
